IU: Hoosiers use the 3 to beat FAMU

I was watching the game while doing other things. Ofcourse the team didn't look the same. Killingsworth was in foul trouble. IU had to rely upon Strickland and the others to shoot from the outside to win due to a lack of the inside game. Not bad scoring over 100 with the outside game.

Louisville Courrier does a nice job today.

IU beats Florida A&M 100 to 63

  • Strickland and Wilmont played well.
  • The team struggled early with FAMU zone and aggressive defense.
  • I thought they played better against Nicholls.

IU: Monday Night game at 6pm est against Florida A&M

Couldn't find much on Florida A&M except for this preview of their conference. Good recruits but under a post-season ban. This can always get dangerous if Indiana (IU) doesn't take them seriously during the basketball game.

IU: Suhr Gets Props

Suhr is the 5 foot 8 inch former walk on who is finally on scholarship. He busts his butt every day. The kid is going to go places in life, I expect.

Journal Gazette has a nice quote from Davis on Suhr.

IU B-Ball: A Western Illinois University perspective

I guess we play Western Illinois on November 26. They are the Mid-Continent Conference Champs and have the current Div. I home court win streak going. I remember when we had that and lost it. Oh well, maybe someday. I hope we destroy them and their streak.

IU Basketball - Damon Bailey Update

Damon Bailey will be the new coach of Bedford North according to the Indy Channel. This is huge and it should get the Coach Davis haters into a frenzy. Forget Alford! This is Bailey, the chosen one! He'll be coaching in Bloomington's backyard! It couldn't be set up any better. One year coaching high school and then stepping up into the big time.

We thought Coach Knight was predicting that Bailey would be the best IU player of all time. Little did we know that he meant Bailey is going to be the best IU coach of all time. How could we have misinterpreted you so poorly, wise General?

(I doubt it will play out like this but it does give the Hoosier faithful something to gossip about for a long time.)

We wish you the best of luck, Coach Bailey!

IU B-ball: White out 6 weeks

DJ White will miss most of the pre-Big 10 season with his broken foot. He should be back in time for the Big 10 Season though. Please remember, it is the Big 10 Season and the NCAAs that we really care about. Sure a win against Duke and Kentucky would be nice in December. It's even sweeter during March Madness. I still say we should easily be in the sweet 16 if not better in the NCAA tournament.
